White/Jennings Wedding

Lauren & I first met at Pages Coffee Shop in downtown Mount Airy quite awhile ago to chat about her upcoming wedding to Adam and their love story leading up to it. After just a couple of minutes, I felt like I was having a coffee date with an old friend. We bonded immediately over our love for canine companions, sweets & the many challenges that come with being super tall ladies! I knew when I left that day that we’d end up being great friends. And we have.

I get nervous before shooting any wedding simply because its the most incredible day for two people & I want to always do it justice. I was particularly nervous before Lauren & Adams wedding because I was..and still am..carrying a 7 pound little boy in my tummy. To be expected, I knew I’d be tired and hot and sore. What woman wouldn’t be photographing a wedding 24 days before delivery?

BUT, as soon as I arrived to Round Peak Vineyards, I was just so truly happy to be right there in that very moment. I was blown away by Lauren in all of her radiant, bridal glory. So thankful for a cool, crisp, foggy fall day. So grateful the rain stopped. So excited to hear music from my buddies, Mr. Will Jones & Mr. Joel Woodson. So honored to witness Lauren’s first look with her weepy, adorable father and then her first look with her very excited groom. My nervousness was totally trumped by all of the abundant love and happiness surrounding them.

I adore these images because they are sweet, classic and timeless, much like Lauren & Adam. These two will truly stand the test of time because they deserve what they have found in one another and because they sincerely value all that is good in this world.
