Ethereal Styled Bridal Shoot

The day Keisha Proctor of Cotton Social expressed an interest in a styled shoot, my gut instinct immediately followed her lead, and thank goodness for that. We met for coffee and there was an instant, obvious connection beyond any sort of explaining or ability to put into words (but I’ll try.) Our lives have almost seemed to run parallel in a way. We both experienced traumatic losses and both decided to take that pain and heart ache and channel it into our art. Often times, the most compelling art comes out of tragedy and I have to believe that is true for us both. It took two months to plan this collaboration and we were selective in the vendors we chose simply because we never wanted to sway from our vision. The mood was “in prayerful search” and I believe we did that justice. A simply stunning gown, minimal makeup, and not one morsel of jewelry on this beauty and she still steals the show. I am incredibly proud of these images. Because of a beautiful idea, and the efforts of some immensely talented women, magic happened. XO
